Senior Project Manager
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading technology services organisation for a Senior Project Manager to lead and deliver multiple IT projects of varying size, complexity, and risk. This is a chargeable role, focused on maximising project value while ensuring high standards of delivery for clients and internal stakeholders.
About the Role
As Senior Project Manager, you will:
- Plan, execute, and oversee IT projects using a structured product management methodology
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standard
- Provide mentorship to other project managers and consultants
- Tailor Waterfall and Agile approaches to suit each project
- Identify and maximise revenue from variation orders to ensure value for both customers and the business
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multiple IT projects from initiation to completion, managing scope, timelines, and budgets
- Produce project plans, highlight reports, and manage change requests, risks, and exceptions
- Ensure pre-project processes are completed and consultants are appropriately skilled
- Maintain accurate project and resource records in CRM
- Coordinate handover to support teams post-project completion
- Mentor junior project managers and consultants performing project management duties
- Travel across the UK as required
Collaboration
You will work closely with:
- Project Managers, Operations, Support, and Commercial Teams
- Account Managers and Customer Success Teams
- Internal departments to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and effectively
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent qualification
- Significant experience in project management, confident in Waterfall and Agile techniques
- Proven track record delivering technology-driven business transformation projects
- Strong IT knowledge: Microsoft product stack, D365, SharePoint/Teams, M365, ERP (Business Central/NAV)
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
- Adaptable, resilient, highly motivated, and customer-focused
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable: Additional IT qualifications and experience delivering technology projects in either a supplier or end-user environment.
