IT Technical Support Engineer

I am working with a fantastic organisation that are looking to welcome a an IT Technical Support Consultant to their team. You’d be coming in to work for a well-established consultancy that values their employees.

 

You’ll be the first point of contact for colleagues in regard to IT related issues, while also managing the in-house infrastructure and hardware. Alongside the daily administration tasks such as auditing and asset management,  you’ll also be assisting the IT team with system implementation and changes required. For this role, you’ll need to be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

 

Your day-to-day:

·       Helping staff resolve 1st and 2nd line issues and escalating if unable to resolve

·       Logging/tracking IT support issues

·       Assisting with maintaining the IT network/infrastructure

·       Configuring PC’s and printers for office based and remote staff

·       3rd level support for maintaining the in-house infrastruct5ure

·       Assisting with new product evaluation and implementation

 

Your skills & experience:

·       Experience in a similar role

·       MS Office 365 apps (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc)

·       Printer setup, configuration & maintenance

·       Endpoint anti-virus and security software

·       Windows 10

·       Software, firmware and driver installation (including OS)

 

Desirable skills:

·       Windows Server – 2012/2016/2019

·       Active Directory

·       Virtualisation – Hyper-V

·       Computer Networking – IP Configuration/ DHCP/DNS/VPN

·       Group Policy Management

·       Network & Infrastructure including Firewalls, Switches and Patching

·       Project work- as a resource

·       Smartphones- Apple & Android

·       Office 365 online environment (Azure, Intune, Exchange, etc.)
