Cloud AI Practice Lead
I’m looking for a senior Cloud & AI leader who wants to do more than just run delivery. Someone ready to shape a practice, influence strategy, and build something genuinely scalable.
This is a remote-first role, with occasional travel to client sites, partner locations, and team meetings when needed.
If you enjoy balancing big-picture thinking with real operational impact, this is a role where you’ll own both.
The Opportunity
You’ll take full ownership of a Cloud & AI practice that sits at the heart of how my clients delivers transformation for customers.
That means leading across:
- Cloud engineering and AI-enabled delivery
- End-to-end project and programme delivery
- Commercial performance and P&L ownership
- Customer success and long-term outcomes
- Operational excellence from build through to run
You won’t just oversee delivery. You’ll define how it’s done, how it scales, and how it evolves.
This is a role for someone who thinks in systems, not silos, someone who can connect strategy, delivery, and commercial performance into one coherent operating model.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Defining and leading the vision for a scalable Cloud & AI practice
- Owning full practice and customer P&Ls, including growth, margin, and investment decisions
- Leading end-to-end delivery from presales through to transition into operations
- Ensuring engineering and delivery excellence across cloud, AI, and automation services
- Driving governance, delivery quality, and predictable outcomes across all engagements
- Leading senior delivery, engineering, and programme teams
- Managing key hyperscaler and technology partner relationships
- Embedding automation, AI, and modern delivery practices into everything we do
- Acting as escalation point for complex or high-risk engagements
- Building leadership depth, succession, and capability across the practice
What They’re Looking For
You’ll likely already be operating at senior leadership level within cloud, consulting, or managed services environments.
You’ll bring:
- Strong experience in cloud delivery, transformation, or AI-enabled services
- Proven P&L ownership or strong commercial accountability
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams (engineering, delivery, programme)
- A track record of delivering complex customer programmes end-to-end
- Strong stakeholder management across senior internal and external audiences
- The ability to balance commercial discipline with delivery excellence
- Confidence operating in fast-moving, evolving environments
- A mindset focused on scale, automation, and continuous improvement
You don’t need to be purely technical, but you do need to understand how cloud and AI services are delivered at scale.
