AI Engineer

Build AI systems that don’t just respond, they act.

We’re partnering with a forward-thinking enterprise technology organisation building a governed, enterprise-grade Agentic AI framework across Microsoft Dynamics 365, Business Central, Microsoft 365, and modern data platforms.

They are now looking for a Senior AI Engineer to help design and build the systems that power intelligent agents in real business environments.

These aren’t chatbots or experiments.

These are production-grade AI agents that can reason, decide, execute tasks, escalate when needed, and operate safely within enterprise controls.

What you’ll be working on

You’ll be part of the team building the core AI platform that defines how agents behave, interact, and operate at scale.

Your work will include:

  • Building and extending an enterprise agentic AI framework used across multiple business systems
  • Turning architectural designs into production-ready AI services and systems
  • Implementing multi-step reasoning and decision flows using structured orchestration patterns
  • Designing safe execution layers with guardrails, approvals, and escalation logic
  • Integrating AI agents with Microsoft enterprise platforms (Dynamics 365, M365, Business Central)
  • Ensuring systems are secure, auditable, and suitable for regulated enterprise environments
  • Collaborating closely with architects to define reusable AI patterns and frameworks
  • Helping shape how agentic AI is deployed in real-world organisations

What we’re looking for

This is a strong engineering role, not a prompt engineering or research position.

We’re looking for someone who understands how to build robust systems, not just models.

  • Strong background in software engineering, ideally within enterprise or distributed systems
  • Experience building workflow systems, orchestration engines, or automation platforms
  • Solid understanding of AI systems beyond basic LLM usage
  • Familiarity with agent-based architectures or multi-step decision systems
  • Strong understanding of security, identity, and access control principles
  • Experience with Microsoft enterprise technologies is highly desirable

Nice to have

  • Experience with AI agent frameworks or orchestration tooling
  • Exposure to Dynamics 365, ERP, or CRM integrations
  • Understanding of governance, audit, or approval-based workflows
  • Experience building reusable platforms, SDKs, or internal frameworks
  • Background in regulated or enterprise-scale environments

What this role is not

  • Not a chatbot development role
  • Not a prompt engineering-only position
  • Not a research or academic AI role
  • Not an experimental “hackathon-style” AI job

Why this opportunity stands out

This is a chance to work on real enterprise AI systems that are already moving into production use.

You’ll be helping define:

  • How AI agents make decisions in complex business environments
  • How they remain safe, controlled, and auditable
  • How enterprises adopt agentic AI at scale
  • What production-ready AI agents actually look like in practice

You’ll also contribute to reusable IP and frameworks that underpin multiple enterprise deployments.
